THE GLUTAMATE ASSOCIATION OF THE PHILIPPINES, INC. (GAP) AND
NETWORK WORLDWIDE ASSOCIATION OF GLUTAMATES

The Glutamate Association of the Philippines, Inc. (GAP) is a non-stock, non-profit association established in 2007 as member association of the South East Asian Association of Glutamate Sciences (SEAAGS) and the International Glutamate Technical Committee (IGTC) in an effort to undertake programs and activities for generating and disseminating scientific, culinary and other related information about glutamates and its umami taste. GAP members are composed of professionals in the field of food, health and nutrition with the common purpose to assemble research data, exchange ideas and information and obtain the acceptance of the safety of glutamate in food, umami being the 5th basic taste, alongside sweet, sour bitter and salty.
